Ken brings a lifetime of experience having started his musical journey way back in 1965 at age 16.

After spending years learning varying styles of guitar, which he found wasn't the right instrument to deliver the musical energy within, he purchased a drum kit. Three days later a knock at the door came with an invitation to join a band. Three months later was supporting the Valentines, which included a young pocket rocket named Bon Scott, at the Swanbourne Stomp and a life in the rock music scene in Perth began.

Moving to Toodyay in 1995 and playing less frequently, he utilised his time and experience in encouraging young musicians through school workshops and organising a battle of the bands in Northam in association with the Avon Valley Arts Society, with the winning band coming from Narrogin. Also having an extensive knowledge of computing and technology he was invited to join the committee of the new Telecentre ( now the Toodyay Community Resource Centre) and spent thirteen years as both committee member and manager whenever required.

And so we come to 2017 and at the ripe old age of 69, still pounding drums in an AC/DC tribute band with musos in their twenties, a desk job was looking somewhat attractively less painful, so he submitted a program proposal which became Ready 2 Rock, and within a few months added another show Ready 4 Retro and more recently Ready 4 Country.

"Ready 2 Rock mainly showcases album tracks from the last few years coz I am just loving where the genre has gone, and in particular the melding of styles of rock, rap, hip hop and even country which has spawned Hick Hop" Ken said. " I refuse to grow old musically - so its Rock Till I Drop".
